Chocolate tasting at Theobroma restaurant with elements of meditation and art therapy. You'll take a tour of history and travel to different countries to discover unique, pure flavors. You will learn how chocolate awakens sensuality and awareness, heals the soul and calms the heart. At the end of the tour you will enjoy a dish from the restaurant menu of your choice.

Chocolate tasting at "THEOBROMA" restaurant

This class covers the history of chocolate, from when humans first began eating cacao as a fruit, to the modern artisan chocolate movement. We will also taste different types of theobroma cacao beans, use a metate and a grinder to crush and grind cacao into drinks that, based on archaeological evidence, were used by the Olmecs, Mayans, and Aztecs, and are used by farmers today. We will make hot chocolate according to recipe from the 1600s, and taste several samples of chocolate bars that reflect techniques and important events in chocolate history.
