About the country

Republic of Guatemala is the most populous Central American country. Its climate is tropical and very humid. The winter and summer differ only by the precipitation quantity and nighttime temperatures. The volcanic highlands and forests occupy the main territory of the country. Because of its unique location Guatemala is known as the “Land of eternal spring”.
Cobán is famed for its coffee plantations.  German coffee manufacturers settled here in the XIX century made an important contribution to the development of the region.  The true connoisseurs know very well that Guatemala is also famous for the rare cacao beans varieties. Its harvest is small and hereat increasingly valuable.
