It has been manufactured with Kemito Ene Micro-Lot cacao beans, native cacao variety coming from Ene river valley in the Peruvian Amazon, one of the biologically richest regions on Earth. Over the centuries it has been inhabited by Asháninka indigenous communities. Their lifestyle and culture were closely intertwined with the rainforest where they lived. The Asháninka people use the word “Kemito” to define cacao and the ancient knowledge of cacao cultivation.  Boca Anapate Community was established in June 1983, it forms part of Asháninka’s Association “Kemito Ene” and now has 203 people.
